Stelae Technologies and their recent awards

Winners of ‘League of 10’ NASSCOM Emerging 50 & London & Partners India Emerging 20

Since I first reported our investment in Stelae, in early Q4 of 2015, there has been much buzz and excitement around the business. As we know, this artificial intelligence company offers information management solutions through its flagship software, Khemeia, which transforms unstructured data into intelligent content – I like to call it the enabler for big data. What does this all translate to? Well, Aruna and the team have been busy continually stretching boundaries within the team and tech to improve the offering to existing and future clients alike. Whatever they have been doing seems to have been working as, in the last few months; they have picked up a couple of highly respectable awards. It’s most certainly very

Nasscom Emerging 50Firstly, they were identified as one of the ‘League of 10’ from the NASSCOM Emerging 50. For those of you are not familiar, NASSCOM stands for ‘The National Association of Software and Services Companies’ and is a trade association of Indian Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing industry in India. These are “…annual Indian awards ceremony honoring most promising and innovative startups in software & technology domains…” which have been going since 2009. “The winners are chosen after a year-long scrutiny process by a panel of eminent jury. Every year the top 10 startups are given the collective title of The League of 10.” Feel free to click on the picture to find out more about the award.

IE20 India Emerging 20Most recently, Stelae were in London to collect an award that recognised them as one of only 20 Indian Emerging companies by London & Partners (the Mayor of London’s inward investment company). The opportunity was clear…”IE20 offers twenty of India’s most dynamic businesses, established since the year 2000, a unique opportunity to win recognition on the international stage in London and develop their global potential.” To qualify the companies needed to “…have real global ambitions, have worked with global clients and/or products suited to global markets…” and “…are likely to be drawn from knowledge-based sectors with high growth potential: technology…”. Once whittled down to 50 companies these “…fifty exceptional businesses will be asked then to submit their representations to a five member jury panel of senior industry figures, venture capitalists and international experts brought in by London & Partners…”. On completion of the rigorous and far-reaching selection process, the top 20 were selected and invited to London for the inaugural awards, where they had the unique pleasure of experiencing market opening at the LSE. Hopefully, this is the start of things to come and it goes without saying we are very excited with the prospects in the months and years ahead…
